Our heritage inventory
Our website lieuxdememoire.be is dedicated to places that are representative of the history of Jewish communities in Belgium. From Ostend to Arlon, this map gathers known and less known places of Jewish life, testifying to its diversity and richness. "Places of Memory" is an overview of a larger database compiled by the Foundation for Contemporary Memory.
Our interviews
Hist-or offers direct access to audio and video testimonies, accompanied by their transcriptions, on Jewish life in Belgium. These testimonies are marked by the violence of the Shoah, but also constitute rare sources on life before and after the war. The search can be done by witness, by thematic entry or in full text.
